Aurélie Goncalves
Marco started in Foreign Rights at Dorling Kindersley in its heyday in the early 1990s, joining Marshall Editions in 1998, co-founding an independent children’s packager in 2002, before eventually realising his true calling embarking on the path of a rights agent in 2013 and never looked back! Whilst Asia has been his main area of expertise, he’s been fortunate enough to have handled rights sales in almost every media format and region of the world over the last 30 years, and has loved every minute!
Aurélie has worked as a Rights professional for over 10 years and has been lucky to champion wonderful books from exciting new debut voices and established names worldwide notably at Carlton Books (now Welbeck), Penguin Random House UK, and Flying Eye Books. She joined MRA in May 2023 following her return to France. You can find her on hikes around the French Alps likely doing more reading than walking!
Jenny worked as a journalist for 10 years before moving into publishing. She has been selling rights for over 25 years and worked as a freelance agent before joining MRA in 2018. When she is not working, travelling, and reading books she enjoys walking her dog, cooking and, more recently, looking after her granddaughter.
Camille first discovered the world of co-edition and illustrated books 12 years ago in the busy rights team at the Quarto Group before shifting to the fiction and narrative side at Faber & Faber. She had handled most of the world for an eclectic range of essays, debut novels and classics by the time she joined MRA in 2019 to take on the adult lists. When she is not on a travelling adventure, Camille loves cycling (down hill) and acroyoga-ing in her home in Bristol.
Nirmal first got a taste for rights selling in Paris where he interned as an assistant at the Lora Fountain Agency way back in 1995. He knew that rights was where the cut and thrust of the action was in publishing! Prior to joining MRA, he held various rights roles within children's publishing at Hodder, Wayland, Simon and Schuster, and Hachette Children's Books. He is passionate about ensuring the best children's content is acquired and then sells across cultures and continents and loves travelling the globe to meet with international publishers and agents. He has been at MRA since 2016, and he can often be found running between stands at book fairs connecting books with the right people!
