Scholastic Corporation is an American multinational publishing, education, and media company that publishes and distributes children's books, comics, and educational materials for the US and international trade and educational institutions and markets. They are also the world's largest children's publisher with a number of imprints such as Cartwheel, Orchard Books, Klutz, and Graphix. Clifford the Big Red Dog, a character created by Norman Bridwell in 1963, serves as Scholastic's official mascot. They are notable for publishing Harry Potter, The Hunger Games and the New York Times bestselling Dog Man series.
